December 7th, 1941 ( Pearl Harbor Day)

When the tours are over to the public at the end of the day the navy sends out a special detail to entomb the cremains of the sailors and marines who survived the Japanese bombing at Pearl Harbor and had served aboard the USS Arizona and USS Utah during the attack. A diver takes their urns and places them in the ship. On the Utah one of the sailors baby daughter had died at home and he was going to scatter her remains when leaving the harbor. She rests now in his locker along with 60 sailors in the Utah. Our legion had three members (now deceased) who were present that day at Pearl Harbor.
